Billy Scott & The Prophets are well known
for such beach music classics as "I Got The Fever",
"California", "Beach Trip", "Roll
Around Rockin", and most recent "My Kind of Girl"
just to name a few. They have been a main staple on the
southeastern private party, festival, concert, corporate
functions, night club and wedding circuit for thirty years.
In 1997, they replaced the Four Tops due to illness, and
opened for The Temptations at Blockbuster Pavillion in Charlotte,
NC to a nearly sold out crowd of 17,000. This award winning,
6-piece dance and show group play a wide variety of music
including beach blues, motown, retro, funk and oldies, and
are always in constant demand.
Billy Scott has been inducted in the Beach Music Hall of
Fame, The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, and has a room
full of Cammy Awards to his credit. Female vocalist, Cindy
Floyd has been nominated two years in a row for best female
vocalist at the 1998 and 1999 Cammy Awards.
Their latest CD, 'Ready To Party' was also nominated for
three 1999 Cammy Awards and landed at number six on the
Rhythm 'N Beach Network's Top 20 CD's Chart for 1999.
