Kudzu is a Montgomery, Alabama based band celebrating the
heritage and history of classic rock/southern rock music.
Together for over 5 years, this band of experienced live
and session musicians have played individually with renown
local, regional and national music acts, including Axtion,
City Slickers, Kung Fu Mama, Kurt McKinney, Improvisation,
Billy Pilgrim, Leigh Howard Stevens, Brooks and Dunn’s
Traveling Circus, and extensive solo acoustic performances.
The diversity of the band allows for a multitude of configurations
for almost any occasion. Kudzu has played local clubs in
and around Montgomery, including Down the Street Café,
The Montgomery Brew Pub, It’ll Do Tavern and several
area lake based clubs in the summer. In addition, Kudzu
has played the area private party scene, including corporate
parties for Jackson Hospital, the annual HarleyWood Motorcycle
convention, Baptist Hospital, Healthsouth, Montgomery Jubilee
Cityfest (2000), and of course, wedding receptions and after
rehearsal dinners, crawfish boils and barbeques. King Kudzu’s
original music follows the vein of classic blues/country/rock
groups such as the Eagles, Lynard Skynard and the Allman
Brothers.
